Today, many people believe that building a website with AI tools has become easy. That is not wrong. With a few prompts, you can generate page drafts, copy, visuals, and even working prototypes.
But the critical question is this: is the result truly a sustainable website, or just a draft that has been published?
The value of a website does not come only from looking good. Is the content structure clear? Does the visitor understand what to do next? Do the forms work? Is the page fast? Can search engines and AI assistants understand the site correctly? After launch, who updates it, measures it, and maintains it?
In my view, a website is not a one-time product. It is a living system. Its content evolves, services change, new articles are added, data is measured, and technical problems are solved. If that system is not built, a website made quickly with AI can soon become an outdated showcase that creates little real value.
That is why my approach is not to reject AI. Quite the opposite: AI should be included in the right parts of the process. It is useful for drafting, developing ideas, and preparing content alternatives. But after that, the structure needs to be organized, secured, measured, and connected to business goals.
In short, building a website with AI is possible. But building a good website still requires systems thinking, technical responsibility, and regular maintenance.
